Hi — Last year, Garth Barfoot ran the New York City Marathon.
Why is that surprising? Because Garth Barfoot is 87 years old.
The year before that, Barfoot ran the London Marathon, finishing in just over 8 hours.
And he regularly runs marathons at home in New Zealand.
How does he do it?
You can feel better, longer if you have high energy levels.
The secret to feeling better, longer is to have lots of energy.
If you have low energy levels, you can’t exercise — meaning you won’t stay in shape.
Low energy levels also prevent you from traveling, spending time with your family, and doing all the other stuff you love.
And once your energy levels dip low enough, you’re sentenced to living the rest of your life on your couch, watching TV.
And here’s the bad news: the older you get, the more your energy levels dip.
Why do your energy levels dip?
Well, it starts with problems in your gut.
Why your gut? Because that’s where your body processes your food.
Your gut is supposed to take the energy from your food, and give it to the rest of your body.
But the problem is, there are nasty bacteria in your gut.
