Sun Love...
At this very moment I’m winging my way North to find the sun (not that we ever lose it in Africa!) and my Welsh grandchildren.
Skincare is paramount for those of us who love the outdoors whatever the season — summer warmth or crisp winter chill — it’s all a challenge.
My African garden hosts Aloe Barbadensis, more commonly known as Aloe Vera, as well as Bulbinella, a plant endemic to the Cape Province of South Africa. I often use the sap of the Bulbinella leaves to protect the skin on my face and the back of my hands. It is soothing and healing for sunburn and insect bites.
But crossing borders with plants is a big NO so I am always looking out for a proprietary product that uses botanicals and is clean of all the bad guys.
